Unlikely to hit the market this year.
According to new insider information from within Apple (which, to be frank, has been leaking like a sieve of late!), the tech giant’s upcoming new MacBook Air is being prepped for imminent release.
According to the anonymous source, it will come in 13” and 15” screen sizes, powerful processing courtesy of the M3 SoC chip backed up with advanced 3nm TSMC tech.
But don’t be rushing to pre-order these bad boys as although they reportedly passed the engineering testing phase with flying colors – as befitting a premium line – nonetheless Apple have balked at ramping up production of the Air for this year at least.
It’s speculated that the limitations of the M3 processor’s current supply chain may have contributed to the delay, as Apple’s new iPhone Pro and Pro Max line has taken the market by storm, creating very high demand, and with those smartphones incorporating the A17 Pro processor, that demand has gained priority at Apple’s manufacturing plant, sidelining production of the M3 as a result.
It is expected that the MacBook Air, with the M3 processor, will hit shelves next spring or summer.
