While the eternal battle between Apple and Google rages in the background over new releases, Logitech has made its latest play for market dominance in the home entertainment and eSports world by unveiling its latest gaming keyboard onto the market. The G Pro X TKL Lightspeed is now available for an RRP of $199, available in three colors (Black, White, and Pink), and three switch types (Linear, Tactile, and Clicky).
The Lightspeed can connect to a computer using Logitech’s wireless technology, meaning you can pair up both the keyboard and mouse to one single receiver, and which offers an impressive 1000 Hz polling rate, which you can also connect to using the accompanying USB-C port.
Unlike Logitech’s own Pro X model, the Lightspeed doesn’t come with swappable switches, but the former keyboard will continue to be sold alongside the new model for anyone so inclined.
The layout of the new keyboard is functional and spacious, with a tenkeyless design which omits the traditional numerical keypad. Instead, the top row consists of media controls and a volume roller. The keyboard provides able support for Logitech’s Lightsync RGB lighting ecosystem, shining through the double-shot PBT keycaps.
The battery has a lifespan of up to 50 hours and Logitech even throw in a travel case just because they’re such nice people!
The Lightspeed is a fine new addition to the gaming keyboard marketplace, one that will certainly fulfill all your eSports and gaming requirements, and a unit that certainly comes highly recommended from this reviewer.
