Hit it, Chewie!
It’s hard to believe but 2023 marks the 30th anniversary of the (original) Star Wars trilogy-capper, Return of the Jedi, which was released to the big screen with great fanfare all the way back in summer 1983.
To commemorate this landmark event, LogiTech has released a new version of their bestselling G502 X Plus gaming mouse, redesigned to look like the Millennium Falcon, that old “hunk o’ junk” starship that went on to blow up the Second Death Star and thus liberate the galaxy from the tyrannical Empire.
Functionally identical to its non-Star Wars equivalent, the mouse comes with red and gray buttons on top, resembling the starship’s gun turrets. In addition to the mouse, LogiTech are also going all-out for geek dollars by simultaneously releasing two Jedi-themed mouse pads, showing Darth Vader and the climactic Battle of Endor, respectively.
As for the tech specs of the mouse itself, it comes with a 25K optical sensor, 9 programmable buttons, sensor sensitivity adjustment setting, and a free-scrolling wheel. It also comes equipped with LogiTech’s impressive Lightspeed tech, meaning there are almost no responsiveness delays.
All in all, this is sure to be a much-sought-after collectible item and retails for $160, while the mousepads retail at $50.
May The Force Be With You!
